預言所帶出的今天

很多時候，看著那些講解預言與世界大事的關連性都十分之給引。但在看啟示文學，看到預言對我們又有什麼的關係？

是為了陳述未來發展的動向，還是叫我們明白「明天之後」的事，而使我們更明白如何去過今天呢！

既然深明那曰的事，那今天又應該怎樣去活？

為妳每天感謝神

自上週培靈會之後，妳已不自覺地被神的話語所觸動了。妳因昔曰所受的創傷及經過而睡著的靈，已被神的話再次喚醒。看著妳對經文的追求及妳身上所流露的喜樂及平安，就不停的感謝神。

加油呀！持之以恆呀！

主乃是活石，固然被人所棄。我們來到主前面都是活石，若要在「被人所棄」及「被神揀選」之間作出選擇時又會點揀？

作絆腳的，還是活著的？

站在那邊？

神必定能夠戰勝每一埸戰爭，但問題是我們是否站在神那邊。

「我也將萬事當作有損的，因我以認識我主基督耶穌為至寶。我為他已經丟棄萬事，看作糞土，為要得著基督；並且得以在他裏面，不是有自己因律法而得的義，乃是有信基督的義，就是因信神而來的義，使我認識基督，曉得他復活的大能，並且曉得和他一同受苦，效法他的死，或者我也得以從死裏復活。」

「我們沒有一個人為自己活，也沒有一個人為自己死。我們若活著，是為主而活；若死了，是為主而死。所以，我們或活或死總是主的人。因此基督死了又活了，為要作死人並活人的主。」羅十四7-9

I was going to reply this in your blog to response to all those comments, but I think is better to stay away from it and put my words here.

We had been spending 4 years in MGC, I can see your passion in pursuing the truth and carry it out with your deeds, I can be the witness of all these things. You are such a great encouragement to me and Jenny. Not a single word from the criticism can be related to Edmund Ho we know. My heart is hurting to see all these, however, such as privilege to have our Heavenly Father as our judge and defender!

Meet X-Men and Spiderman at Disney Land

The Walt Disney Co. (DIS-N26.10-0.74-2.76%) said Monday it is buying Marvel Entertainment Inc. (MVL-N48.429.7725.28%) for $4-billion (U.S.) in cash and stock, bringing characters like Iron Man and Spider-Man into the family of Mickey Mouse and WALL-E.

Reader's Digest files prearranged bankruptcy

The publisher of Reader's Digest yesterday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, carrying out its plan to cut debt and transfer ownership of the 87-year-old U.S. magazine and other businesses to a group of lenders.

Due to the shift from book reading to Internet browsing, the 87 year old needs to find itself an new owner. In the other words, the style of the book needs to be changed to catch up the new generation.

Recession over, growth resumes: Bank of Canada

Canada's recession is over, and the country is beginning what will be a long reconstruction of the wealth destroyed by the financial crisis, the Bank of Canada said Thursday.

Hope the news can bring the employment back to the market.

觀塘銀都悄然落幕

A Stimulus Story

It is the month of April, on the shores of the Black Sea .
It is raining, and the little town looks totally deserted.
It is tough times, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.
Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town.
He enters the only hotel, lays a 100 Euro note on the reception counter, and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one.
The hotel proprietor takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his debt to the butcher.
The Butcher takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the pig grower.
The pig grower takes the 100 Euro note, and runs to pay his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel.
The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 Euro note and runs to pay his debt to the town's prostitute that in these hard times, gave her "services" on credit.
The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 Euro note to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.
The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 Euro note back on the counter.
At that moment, the rich tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and takes his 100 Euro note, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.
No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt, and looks to the future with a lot of optimism.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is doing business today.

Canada is Failing History

As high school students across the country sit to write their final examinations this month, Canadians may be shocked to discover that few of them will be tested on what they know about Canada's history.

For more than a decade, the Dominion Institute has commissioned surveys chronicling the national malaise about Canada's history: Four in 10 Canadians cannot name our first prime minister or identify the year of Confederation. Young Canadians often know even less about our country's past than their parents or grandparents.

Eugene H. Peterson在其著的 The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language 中說：

And it's trouble ahead if you think life's all fun and games. There'ssuffering to be met, and you're going to meet it. "There's trouble ahead when you live only for the approval of others, saying what flatters them, doing what indulges them. Popularity contests are not truth contests--look how many scoundrel preachers were approved by your ancestors! Your task is to be true, not popular.

...這也是個專講個人批判的年代，人們只知指指點點，去掉別人眼中的刺，自己置身事外，批評別人，叫人體無完膚。耶穌吩咐我們不可論斷，要先看自己眼中的梁木。也不可定人的罪，因為只有神才可以定罪。
